KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

The Northern Cambria School District will hold Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 and Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M.    Pre-School registration will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M.  Registration can be done online or in-person.  Registration will be by appointment only.  Please call 948-5880 to secure your appointment. Registration will be held in the elementary/middle school auditorium.  Any parent wishing not to register in person, can do so online by visiting the Northern Cambria School District website. To enroll a kindergarten child, he/she must be 5 years old prior to September 1st, 2022. To enroll a pre-school child, he/she must be 4 years old prior to September 1st, 2022.

  Parents or guardians MUST BRING TO REGISTRATION the following documents:

1.     Birth Certificate

2.     Immunization Records

3. Proof of Income - (Pre-School only) (A copy of your 2020 Federal Income Tax Form 1040 or copies of your W2 Forms.  If you do not file a tax return, you may include your previous 2 paycheck stubs.)

4.  Proof of Residency (which must include name of the person the student resides with and the current address in the Northern Cambria School District)

5.    Documents concerning any custody issues, if applicable

NOTE:  A CHILD WILL NOT BE REGISTERED WITHOUT A CURRENT BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR WITHOUT A COPY OF IMMUNIZATIONS AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.

IMMUNIZATIONS required by law for entrance in to a school are:  Measles (2), Mumps (2), Rubella (2), Hepatitis B (3), Polio OPV or IPV (4) (the 4th dose on or after 4th birthday and least 6 months after previous dose given), D.T.P. diphtheria-tetanus/pertussis (4) (with 1 dose on or after the 4th birthday), and Varicella immunity- 2 doses of varicella vaccine or history of chickenpox disease. 

 (Pre-School only) - Hepatitis A, Influenza (flu).

 

These requirements allow for the following exemptions:  medical reason/religious belief, or philosophical/strong moral or ethical conviction.  Even if your child is exempt from immunizations, he or she may be excluded from school during an outbreak of vaccine preventable disease.

Your child does not need to attend registration.
