Concussion Management
Each building has a Concussion Management Team (CMT). Each team consists of a medical symptom monitor and an academic monitor. If your child suffered a concussion, please contact the school nurse in the appropriate building (Elementary, Middle, or High School).
More than a dozen years ago, Pennsylvania instituted a program to support the needs of students, parents, and staff in reference to a brain injury. This Brain STEPS program serves all school districts in Pennsylvania through their local intermediate unit. Some information on concussion from Brain STEPS is included.
