Mrs. J. Paronish's Classroom

Hi, welcome to Kindergarten!   My name is Mrs. Jackie Paronish. I thought you would appreciate knowing something about me. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education.  I obtained my Early Childhood Certification from Slippery Rock University in 2009.  I taught Pre-K and Fourth Grade. I also taught Kindergarten at Saint Bernard School in Indiana for four years and First Grade at Northern Cambria for eleven years.  I live in Northern Cambria with my husband and four sons.  I am looking forward to a great year teaching Kindergarten! 

It is my goal to create learning experiences which make subject matter interesting and meaningful for my students. I believe in using a variety of teaching methods and involving parents in their child’s education. If you walked into my classroom you would see children singing, working, playing together, learning, and having fun. I love our students and our NC school family so much! Go COLTS!

11:15-11:30 Break/Restroom

11:40-12:10 Lunch

12:25-12:55 Literacy Centers

12:55-1:25 WINN (“What I Need Now”) Reading Groups

1:30-2:00 Specials 

2:05-2:50 Science/Social Studies/Handwriting/Themes

2:50-3:10 Recess

3:10-3:30 End of Day Activities/Dismissal Prep/Dismissal

We are on a 6 day cycle.  If we skip a day of school, the schedule resumes on the next number.  These special classes will NOT always occur on the same day every week.  This is our schedule:
