Welcome to First Grade Small Group ELA with Mrs. Delosh! Here is an overview of what we will be doing this year!
Throughout the year, we will be doing ELA reading instruction in a small group setting to assist students in all areas of reading. We will also be working with literacy centers focusing on reading decodable text, phonics skills, spelling skills, high frequency word knowledge and oral reading fluency.
My goal for this instructional time is to help those students in the areas of reading that they have difficulty in. I will also be working on the process of writing. We will be working on many areas of writing (Narrative, Descriptive, Opinion Writing, Persuasive Writing, Informational Writing, and Research writing). We will learn how to brainstorm, write, edit and publish our writing pieces.
