Welcome to Mrs. Delosh’s First Grade WINN Group!  Three times a  year, we will be administering the DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Literacy Skills) assessment.  Students will be put into small groups for instruction according to their test results in the beginning of the year, middle of the year and end of the year.  These groups are based on data collected from these assessments and will focus on Letter naming fluency (LNF), Phoneme Segmentation Fluency (PSF), Nonsense Word Fluency (NWF) and Oral Reading Fluency (ORF).  Instruction for my group will address the needs of each student in the group.  We will be using data to drive instruction during this time.  Students will be progressed monitored weekly to check for growth and students showing growth will be moved to different groups according to their needs.  My goal for the year in my First Grade WINN group is to address students’ needs and move them forward in the areas tested during the school year.
